Overview: APB Winglets is a joint venture of Aviation Partners, Inc. and The Boeing Company, created in 1999 to equip Boeing airplanes with Blended Winglet Technology. Together, they form an amalgam combining the innovation of Aviation Partners and the strength of Boeing.
Products & Services: Blended Winglet Technology is in production for BBJs, 737-NGs, 737 Classics, and 757-200 models. Other programs are in R&D with anticipated launch in 2007 and beyond.
Achievements: Over the past 13 years Blended Winglet Technology has evolved from revolutionary to mainstream. Today, more than 1000 business and commercial aircraft are equipped with patented Performance Enhancing Blended Winglet Systems with a potential universe of some 30,000-40,000 aircraft capable of benefiting from Blended Winglet Technology.
Divisions & Departments: Engineering includes Loads/Dynamics/Flutter, Stress, Sustaining, Liaison, Design and Aero.
Other departments include Sales/Contracts, Operations, Finance, IT and HR.
Future: APB is anticipating significant growth over the next three years.
